          are you serious?

it advances the timing of the motor ie, when the valves open and close repspective of the volume of the cylinder.

I'm pretty sure he means ignition timing not cam timing.

yeah i'm pretty sure timiing onna car is usually retarded for safety.. too advanced and you'll get pinging or crap like that..... but if you wanna try it i think you just roll your distributer cap forward..i've never had my car timed but i've taken the dist. off , and no matter where i put it forward or back.. i didnt notice much of a difference..

I have no clue what my exact timing advance is. i just advanced it a marginal amount. honestly didn't notice much of a difference. it does pull a little harder around 3500-4000 and seems to be more "revable" but nothing special.

stock clutch with 137000 miles on it. it actually chatters which is weird.

hahaha its funny how some people think you need a sr20 and a whole bunch of power to drift, but im with you guys that all you need is a good lsd and good suspension setup. im stick by my KA. but sure 250whp from a sr20 would be nice too.or any motor for that matter.

You dont really have to have all that either. I run a stock KA, Megan Racing springs on GR2s, Battle version TC rods and RUCAs, Whiteline sways, energy bushings and a J30 VLSD. I only pay for front tires (go dumpster diving for rears) and I have 20 stock 15in alloys 8 16s and 8 17in wheels. I have less than $5000 in my setup total including the price of the car and all the tires iv ever bought. I qualified top 32 at the first round of FormulaD this year with this setup and won the DriftShowoff event in Houston a couple months ago.

Yeah sorry bout that, but i dont want people to be misinformed about what it takes to get the car to drift. Its not about the parts its about the driver.

And yeah my car is ugly high, im just about to get some coilovers (finally) and tune the suspension. Then a 2 way and some plastic surgery, and ill be ready to start building my KA-T.
