It kind of depends if it's more of a show style of drifting or a race style of drifting. If his goal was to maintain speed, he may not drift much. If he wanted show, you'd probably see him sideways quite a bit, but he'd be a little slow. It's a matter of what HIS intentions were.

Do you consider this drifting?

If Drifting is only Drifting if you get sideways before the turn then not much Drifting impresses you does it.
Also if any monkey can do the E-brake yank, then video tape yourself doing it. It isn't near as easy to hold it with E-brake as you think. I especially want to see the video of you sticking the rear end into a ditch. That's gonna be a good one.

You can clearly see that drifting--in this video--is much slower than grip driving would have been......

Now, when you guys talk about drifitng requiring sliding before a turn, what exactly does that mean?
Does that mean that I need to be sliding before the road turns? before the apex? Before I want to start turning?
Well, that is just silly!! Why you ask? Because, a turn is not defined by the markings on the pavement or the shape of the asphalt on the terrain but by when you initiate and end the turn.
You may begin turning well before or well after the pavement turns. AND, it is IMPOSSIBLE to drift without turning and therefore IMPOSSIBLE to start drifting before you turn. AND, because a turn starts when you start it, it is IMPOSSIBLE to drift before a turn.
I really wish everyone here would THINK BEFORE they type.
