I dunno what the deal with 50/50 weight distribution is...
If this is the case, why is the S13/S14 and AE86 are so popular???
Both cases are hardly 50/50 "ideal".
The problem with FC and FD chassis is the low polar moment.
Low polar moment can help or hinder you, but for beginners it's really unnerving.
This is what causes the FC to spin violently when you get past the normal grip levels of the chassis.
If you're an advanced driver, this can help your technique.
For most people, it'll frustrate you to no end.
Drift an S13 first...then go to an FC.
Make your decision between the two.
I bet the S13 is a whole lot more "stable" during drifting.
