Just adding my nickle,
I would get a new KA....you should be able to find a slightly used one for about $500. So many people are going to the SR that they are becoming more rare and expensive. A lot more parts are going to become available for the KA soon. My good friend had a turbo KA in his car for over 100k miles and was putting out over 310hp. Don't abandon the KA its a strong block and only weighs 20 more lbs. Save your money and get a good LSD. That will help more than anything. Don't let them fix your KA just pick up another used one...
