I don't think cops in ohio got the memo yet on the art of drifting, so we'll be okay for atleast a few more months. But yeah, if u guys question any of these ideas....Get your hands on the Mischief 3K movie. They ran the gumball rally and filmed the 2003 run, 186-some-odd cars all high performance and WAY outta my price range drving from NYC to Vegas. Cross country race, and the cops, for the most part where just tickled to be drving by and getting a picture of these rides...some however did pull over but when you're rocking 187mph on the freeway...not to many cruisers can keep up with you. But seriosuly get ur hands on a Mischief vid.

hah that movie was great. i loved when they went off roading in the porches and beemers and got flats at all 4 corners and still got caught by the cops. that was great

However, I have had more problems with California Highway Patrol then anything. Now i've met one really cool patrolmen up north. Coincidently i met a jerkass local PD up north the same day. Buddy was hit going to a car show. no one was hurt, cop treated us like suspects and the whole scene like a crime scene. Hell he even drove by the accident site twice on his motorcycle as i tried to wave him down to ask for assistance. He was there to write tickets for racing because the car show, and didnt want any *Censored**Censored**Censored**Censored* from us.


But CHP in california are basicly tax collectors, they are worked to bone and pressured to wright as many tickets as possible, and nothing brings in more money then a young guy in a imported car (we are all racers sence fast and the furious came out)

There not all jerks, some, perhaps most are pleasent, But there are indeed a number of jerks working for the CHP. Afterall gotta get those tickets wrote to pay for there own pay check.

Afterall we are in such a financial situation in this state that we elected a body builder turned mediocer actor governer. He even brought his 'running man' bus to bakersfield for a rally... in running man he is sentence for committing the "bakersfield masicure" kindof funny how that works out huh?


(note bakersfield is often mentioned and indeed used in films and movies, same as fresno, its north of los angeles thus some mysterious place people have heard of, but not seen)

i think california cops ARE more anal about everything....for instance.....when i wrecked my old suby and it was TOTALED after turnin upside down......my city's famous AZZHOLE cop shows up pops my hood and takes pictures.....and when i got into the ambulance he came in and threw the pictures at my face and said "u have all these illegal mods in ur car and ur sayin u werent racin!!" (when all he saw was only the intake, spark plug wires and other small things) but since the other car also had an intake .....he was convinced that we were racin....but im just sayin that alot of the other states cops might just be nicer cause their not in the nations street racing central.....

i agree that most cops are not jerks but there is this one cop where i live and he pulled my brother over twice for having a... for perfectly legal-sized, decibel-tested exhaust system and he had a legal amount of window tint. he got tickets for ALL OF THE ABOVE... he put it all back on after getting it inspected (except for window tint) and was later pulled over by the same guy for speeding... going 90 km/h while slowing down for an 80 km/h zone... well this azzhole decided that if you are within a quarter mile of a change in speed limit and you are still at the old speed limit, you are suddenly a dangerous person... he decided that he had reason to believe that my bro had weapons on him.... no joke... he frisked him, searched the car, and left him with a muffler size violation and a speeding ticket... complete and utter bullsh*t.. well my brother was able to fight both tickets and got away with it.... then he got pulled over the next flucking day... for speeding... same guy... but he was actually a touch over the limit this time... going with traffic, like anybody would... well that is just one guy and i have found that cops tend to be friendly so dont get the wrong vibe from me, but this guy should have his badge taken away

i think most of you guys have the wrong idea of cops except has no tires. most of them are cool. the only people i can think of are the guys who work at universities. one brandished his gun as i walked by him which was kind of odd (i had a skateboard but whatever). dont disrespect cops because they keep you safe at night and most people dont get bs like that at their jobs.

my dad used to live in bakersfield. i think he said he used to have a bel air with a corvette engine and a 4 speed manual transmission. the normal kind now, oh and bucket seats.

That reminds me of this one time. When I was younger, ( think 14 ) My buddies and I went up to the local outdoor movies. Jon and I had all the radio gear to listen to the movie and everyone else were on bikes. We get our crap set up and them someone yells, "COP!!!". So they all bail. Jon and I are left holding all this crap. We get shined.
"Hey, are you kids throwing things over the fence?".
"No, we were just trying to catch a free movie."

I sh#t you not. Ive had a cop pull me over, I said Suuuuuuup Maaaaaaaaate, He just looked at me & said this pleeeeeeeeeeease steeeeeeeep kiiiiiiiiiiiiiindly ouuuuuuuuuuuut ooooooooof theeeeeeeeeee caaaaaaaaaaaaaaar.

I just laughed my head of, Turns out he was in a very happy mood, Mind you i have a modified Commodore. Anyway i walked over to the cop car with him to do a licence check & a breathaliser all clear. Then he decided to converse about cars and i locked up my car went back to the cop car we sat in it and talked for 12 hours on the side of the road watching for speeders. He had a fantastic sense of humour, He's not just a cop, But a drifter, No its not HASNOTIRESLEFT.

No, it's true. ALL cops are evil. I was only doing double the speed limit and got pulled over. I mean, WTF!!! What's the big deal!!!

The cop knocked down the speed to only 67 mph (was doing 70 in a 35, its ok, don't flame, 2am 4 lane just me.)

anyway, cops really are cool. Just be POLITE!!!! I could be in jail right now on reckless driving, uncontrolled motoring, speeding, no seat belt (I undid it after he pulled me over to get more comfy.....god that was dumb...)

Cops rule!!!! (And I'm not one-sided because I'm going to school to be one either. Ok maybe a little, but they don't know that and still treat me with respect.)

The police over here in Western NC are all regular guys like everyone else in this thread has said. They will give you breaks or bust your *Censored**Censored**Censored* but they do it based on your attitude to em. treat em with the respect they deserve and they might take pity on you. I should know I got out of 9 tickets with warnings!!!

The nicest cops you will ever meet here are the Highway Patrols. They will treat you like a king no matter how much crap you talk to them but buddy if you get pulled you arent gettin outta a ticket. No chance...
