Top-mount would require an excessive amount of clearance over the top of the engine.

be preparded to spend some loot on a v mount set up. a vented hood is a necessity with this set up. also there is going to be lots of fabrication involved. unless you can weld thats expensive. not to mention a good e fan set up.

i had a vmount on the fd before the "accident" (dun dun dun erie music playing in the background)

it wasnt that bad, than again rotaries have a ton of room in the engine bay. vmounts have tons and tons of pluses, the only negative is the occasional belt change and u cant see it through ur bumper, so u dont have that menacing fmic look but its alright to me seeing as the vmount lowered my temps Greatly, never needed to worry about overheating.

i just ordered another one from chuck huang at rotary extreme i think it costs like 2300 so ya they are expensive

Most V-mount systems are custom. I have some pics I will post but you will have to rake back the radiator and put electric fans on it. You will also need a vented hood and ducting of some sort is a VERY good idea.

Doing it yourself is alot of work with careful measurements and alot of fabrication and special care to bleed your coolant system properly, etc. Signal charges about 3k for the v-mount service + the cost of parts. before going to some extremes such as v-mounting, figure out your budget, your power prospects, and the function of your car first.

Why do you want a top mount? SO th eheat off your exhaust manifold and valve cover can waft over it and you can spend an hour to change the spark plug instead of just popping a cover off and checking them casually.
