7M is easier, since its a drop in motor. 1J would be better just for reliability. I like to do a good job once and never have to mess with it after its done.

needs paint and the fenders joined by a body shop (the ones on my clip were destroyed, best i could salvage). everything else bolts right up.
1JZ is in, but i need to finish the wiring, so i haven't started it yet.
56K DIE
and a photoshop i did to see what the car will look like with the teins installed. i have monster wheel gap right now.Last edited by Cressida; 01-04-2004, 04:13 PM.

oh can't forget my super-rad Craftsman shifter...
Future plans for the car....I have the Chaser taillights but they don't work with the Cressida, so it will require more body shop work....
Thats all i've took so far. I am still moving right now and I need to move the car to the new place before I can finisher her up. If you have any questions let me know. I've pretty much been through allot with this converstion. A year already.Last edited by Cressida; 01-04-2004, 04:14 PM.

oh what the heck...here are the diff pics. a Supra MKIII LSD diff does work with the Cressida K-frame if you do some "slight modifications." you can just install the LSD unit into the Cressida pumpkin...but the 3-point design is weak and there are some Turbo Cressidas having mount ripping issues. I use 1/4" thick steel piping, and just installed a 4-point MKIII LSD diff.
ITS VERY SOLID. Cressida axles work with it.Last edited by Cressida; 01-04-2004, 04:14 PM.

Nice. So you had a body shop cut and weld the fenders together to make it work right? and the tail lights didnt line up so more time at body shop? So in other words it wasnt a straight bolt on affair... looks good though. I had no doubt that the drivetrain and motor would work.
