7M is easier, since its a drop in motor. 1J would be better just for reliability. I like to do a good job once and never have to mess with it after its done.

both motors are easy to install. the 1jz is just a *Censored**Censored**Censored**Censored**Censored* to wire.

oh and for those who are wondering, the front end works. i have a Kouki Chaser front end on my '90.

needs paint and the fenders joined by a body shop (the ones on my clip were destroyed, best i could salvage). everything else bolts right up.

1JZ is in, but i need to finish the wiring, so i haven't started it yet.

            56K DIE

and a photoshop i did to see what the car will look like with the teins installed. i have monster wheel gap right now.

oh can't forget my super-rad Craftsman shifter...

Future plans for the car....I have the Chaser taillights but they don't work with the Cressida, so it will require more body shop work....

Thats all i've took so far. I am still moving right now and I need to move the car to the new place before I can finisher her up. If you have any questions let me know. I've pretty much been through allot with this converstion. A year already.

oh what the heck...here are the diff pics. a Supra MKIII LSD diff does work with the Cressida K-frame if you do some "slight modifications." you can just install the LSD unit into the Cressida pumpkin...but the 3-point design is weak and there are some Turbo Cressidas having mount ripping issues. I use 1/4" thick steel piping, and just installed a 4-point MKIII LSD diff.

ITS VERY SOLID. Cressida axles work with it.

Nice. So you had a body shop cut and weld the fenders together to make it work right? and the tail lights didnt line up so more time at body shop? So in other words it wasnt a straight bolt on affair... looks good though. I had no doubt that the drivetrain and motor would work.

wrong. the fenders bolt on and work great. the only problem is the crease that runs down the fender. the JDM chaser has a crease that runs down the entire length of the car...the cressida doesn't. you can bolt on the fender and not care about the crease or you can have it filled in. either way the front end is a bolt on affair. my fenders were mated together because my fenders were *Censored**Censored**Censored**Censored*ed beyond repair when i got my clip. so i salvaged them by cutting them and mating.

yeah, you bastards are lucky, i had to fork out 2500 for my 90 with an 88 supra tranny swapped in (89-92 comes with autoonly)and another 400 for towing. now it sits in my yard awaiting money so i can buy the Kie Office coil overs (2500) for it and atleast a rear sway bar so i can put it on the road and start drifting it by no later then next spring. I think i might look into doing the head gasket in the winter since i will not be using the car at all then. and for now, i will have to continue drifting this.
