    Da boonies

Yea it sucks livin here in the boonies. If anyone wants to get away from seeing ricers everywhere come to mississippi. I have seen only 3 cars this year that has had a body kit on them.(scary!) The backroads here are great to drift, real narrow roads and lots of turns(since i live in a very hilly part of MS) no mountains so we can touge or whatever its called. you all (or yall as I say) need to come down south and check out the backroads. They arent dirt roads so i guess i could drift on them, HHHMMMM...that sounds good......

      rally

now that I think about it rally is perfect here. half of the backroads are dirt and gravel so doing rally sessions would work pretty well here. interesting... tell me what you all think

Well it started about 6yrs ago, when my dad bought me my first car. It was an 86.5 supra. Back then I was really into civic h/b. just thought they where the shizit. One fate full day I decided to race a buddys integ gs. Smoked it and it opened my eyes to how powerful the supra was. After countless hours online looking at thousands of supras. I came upon an mpeg. The jun yellow supra taking a turn @ 80mph with a giant rooster shaped cloud following behind. well as of today my supra has recovered from a wreck and is ready for sum major drifting. Just like to thank my dad for helping me with the repairs and putting up with a son who goes through more engines then any of my other brothers in a year.

“The drift bug bit hard this year!”

I want to be one of the best supra drifters! even though mines out dated.....

ive always been into cars in general from drag to road race. i think before drifiting was a big thing here i always found it sweet to throw a car into a slide...then one day around a corner then been trying ever since. i guess goofing of with my ride was what got me into it

my first car was a rwd bmw (1974 2002 w/ dual 44 webs. and an it-b suspension). anywho...kinda' figured out how to drift/powerslide by accident and liked it so kept doing it (it being mostly powersliding and doughnuts..not true drifting). then few years ago I ran across a drifting site one day on the net by accident again while looking for the japan 2002 club. started reading more about it and loved it and wanted to do more, but not really been into it but just for the last year.

just for some personal info., i've been involved in scca racing (FA, autocross, IT) for about 5 years off and on, and IHRA dragging for 10 or so. but the drift is the best motorsport i've been involved with thus far.

so basically it was one wonderful accident.

ever since i was little i can remember i was forced to play sports that i hated and then i finally got into motox a few years ago and my "father" began makin up excuses for not takin me to my first scheduled race and there after made sure my dreams would never come true, then i used my head and thought well im ganna be 16 soon and i am into anything that is a machine so why not take up racing...so i looked into drag and the strait lines bored me so thats when i looked into creative drivng(aka drifting) long story short im lookin for a fr setup on any car most likely a 240 oh and in one of my other post's i give my life story of driving sideways on dirt roads and corn fields in an old v8 powered boat
                thats about it

mine was on accident... I was driving my FC and was going into a sharp turn when i had to take a detour.... ended up trail braking and after that i down shifted too quick and the back stepped out on me, i just stood on it and wham... my first drift.... been doin' it since. then i started seeing stuff about "drifting" and its only snowballed from there.

i've seen an option video about 4 years ago and i liked it. so i bought video's and *Censored**Censored**Censored**Censored* like that. drove my dads camaro in this parking lot and learned how to drift around the tree's in the middle of the lot. after the camaro was sold i had to teach my friend in his 240. but he crashed his ride like 4 times and he's too scared to drift now. he still has no idea what he's doin. so i found me a cheap corolla and i just practice when i get the chance. i've always liked that damn corolla in the option video's.

then i saw intial d... and so did other kids and now corolla's around here cost a pretty penny. its insane.

hopefully i'll make enough money to make this corolla allot nicer.

heey i live in japan and i got into drifting by my friend's friends in yokohama and yokosuka using 180sx's and s13s doin mad donuts and slaloming around and i asked my friend if they even drive in straight lines and he laughed and said that they drift. i was like whoa and took the trains home with him and started liking the idea of going sideways instead of just boring turns..then i started getting wrc videos and started liking rally..thats my life story...another year before i can buy my 180sx

You guys are talking about drifting and racing like you've been doing it for years! A lot of you are talking about how Initial D got you into it, and the others are talking about Fast and the Furious. How long ago was it when the first F&F came out? A whole year? This is truly sad. Don't say "that's my life story" you're only twelve, and don't have any idea how to change brakes.

This was what I had predicted would happen a year ago. A bunch of idiot kids all of a sudden getting into cars because of a fake A$$ movie. You guys planning to swap a SR20 into your civic? Let me guess, the first thing on your car is a big decal, followed by altezza tailights. That gives you about 10extra horses? I see so many of you guys aroung now, its annoying. A bunch of idiots in chopped spring eclipses, civics, even 240s, with a $hitload of stickers and the Kragen/AutoZOne/Pepboys aluminum spoiler, lights, shift knob and every other horendous piece they sell. Its ok, I know you think the APC intake at Kragen is a good deal. I see you guys crowding the "performance" aisle whenever I go to get oil. How about your "drifting" It looks more like a leaning boat to me. Go into a corner at 30 mph, yanking the steering wheel to turn as fast as you can, yanking the e-brake, the car leans and turns with a "erp" and you think its drifting. You tell all your friends about it, and brag about how you can drift now, while the rest of us look at you guys and laugh our F#ckin heads off! Where were you in 1995? Years ago, there wasn't a market for Alteeza tailight, and crappy aluminum wings because everyone was into performance. We spent our money on cams, clutches, and headers. The current generation spends theirs on stickers, neon, and indiglow guages. The "runs" use to be calm and mellow. Everyone was there to race. Nowadays, f@ggot a$$ kids run up and down the street trying to show off their cars, doing doughnut, and causing all sorts of $hit. The last time I went was two years ago, and that was when it wasn't that bad yet. It was the start though, because you younger knuckleheads don't respect what the older guys tell you. I saw a kid in his 96 hatch get smashed into head on because he decided to move his car and park on the other side of the street while two cars were racing. Its fortunate he lived, but his car was $hit!! No big loss though, served him right. For you more respectfull guys its ok if you just got into cars and ask educated questions. There are you guys who are young and starting fresh, and take their time to research and learn. I give much props to you. You know who you are. The other idiots are the ones ruining the scene for everyone. All I'm saying is calm the F#@$ down, and quit your dumbaA$$ lies. All you're doing is ruining the scene for everyone. No one is going to respect you for it, and you only make yourself look worse. If you think no one will know, think again. At the drift events and track days, the majority of the participants frequent these websites. One day someone will see/figure out who you are and take a picture of your dumb@#$ for the world to see. The internet is a wonderful place. But I'm sure you knew that already.
