this car would have been more of a drift car with a stock motor and some good suspension
Then it wouldn't be Monster Garage. It'd be "budget drifter". I saw the episode. One of my favorites. Wasn't sure if they were gonna make it up untill the very end. I'm glad they did though! I thought the engine swap was brilliant.

Man guys, stop your bellyaching. Someone with some clout finally does something that doesn't associate Drifters with the beltless, pants around the *Censored**Censored**Censored*, thug wannabe's who stroke their vtecs every night AND they include the pros in it and people still complain.

Sheesh. This just falls in line with the whole "Drifting should stay underground" movement. Well, it ain't, so buck up and live with it. I would much rather have someone like "Monster Garage" give it some good publicity than have someone else muck it up with the import lifestyle crap. They gave it it's own identity, they didnt put 20 inch spinners on it, didnt bring in DJ dickholio to spin Drift remixes or anything stupid. They put a big engine into a small car, welded a diff and busted rump. Either way, it brought interest in the sport. Anybody ever talked to any of the pros and listened to how much of their own money and their time they blow to do these events? If you don't have many cash sponsers, which most of them don't, it gets dammed expensive. So without this kind of good exposure, there isnt gonna be a Drifting series. Companies only pump money into it if it generates money out the other end.

Without this kind of stuff people like Forseberg, Angelo, Gushi and all of those guys would have to foot their own bills totally and that can only happen for so long. It aint cheap. So you guys quit your whining and for once just accept that it wasn't so bad.

yeah ghost i agree w/ you. If you think about it for the most part drifting has been getting good publicity. Like the articles in the New York times and OC Register (so cali residents) No negative "omg this is a menace to society" Monster Garage even did it on a track not some street so that it gives it a track cred. Not something that is done on the street

I have to say I MUCH prefer to watch Jesse James than that snob, Rhys Millen. You would think this guy is God's gift to drifting in the USA. He AINT...He WON'T be. I really like the way Jessie just lets what's on his mind come out. If he is wrong...he is willing to admit it. He has the attitude of an x-gamer. He likes adrenalin rushes and he likes vehicles with testicles. He ISN'T one to allow himself to be squeezed into someone elses mold.
