Gushi's stang lost P/S at the champ car and hadn't made a pass by the time we left.

no girls qualified
both enjuku cars qualified
the cooper tires firebird was TEARING it up!
Eric Schultz wrecked his yellow toyo 240 bad in practice, then qualified 3rd by smashing thru the plastic barriers, continuing the run, and then splitting them at the end of his run
Ben Schwartz was tearing it up, but wrecked his first qualifying run and didn't qualify.
Hampton didn't qualify.
tyson beckford was there and wrecked his car (probably total'd). but his buddy qualified in the other mustang.

the soldier field track is VERY tiny - think houston...

only 1 local drifter in a miata, and he had problems (wrecked first run of the day, then understeered during qualifying)

IIRC he did good in first run or two, then crashed on his 3rd practice while following Hiro who taped the wall.

Car is not driveable.

On Friday the RMR GTO hit the wall hard resulting in suspension damage so they are unsure of how well the GTO will drive today.

Team RMR was up until 5AM welding and fabricating the GTO which is not 100% fixed. Their new goal is the just quality today so they can earn points for the season.

yeah, i remember them having near 3 backups cars in last year, so i dunno.i guess they only brought one car this years events. well good luck to all the FD guys!! How's sam doing with his 505hp machine? from the pics, i see calvin is doing pretty good i guess. NorCal boy !!!
