In other words, MORE SKATEBOARD CARS! Actually, that would be cool. I still want to put skid plates down my S12 so I could do something like that and still drift when I want. JR's grind-car proves it can be done and still survive (until you do a burnout apparently, as the rear rotors started to scorch when he entered the burnout/freestyle portion of Gymkhana Grid).

If drifting does last into the future I predict alot of custom environment/obstacle course type configurations. I also predict alot more safety efforts to keep the cars looking clean. Sponsors don't like rag tag looking drift cars you cant see they're logo on.

Too bad we never got to see the original Charger hit the track with its roller blade wheels, it was like the car was built to slide along the walls. Ebisu has a somewhat of a jump that just about all the cars get at least 1 wheel off the ground on, they factor in the jump in their scores.

I think all this would lead to a few totally different events as far as drifting goes (kinda like x games), imagine "freestyle", "street", "team" and "tandem" totally separate events with their own hardware and purse. Hey I dream big...only time will tell.

I agree Bebop. 2008 was the best year of FD for me too. I went to 4 events (Atl, Jersey, Irwindale and the World Championship) and had a blast at every one. Atlanta was my first Formula D event (besides a team drift) and I got hooked. I've been every year since and I will continue to go until it stops. It's my yearly "pilgramage".

Franks getting the harness done. milspec with dr25 heat shrink to the Motec ecu. Custom Garage BOSO engine harness! Engine build starting reeeeeal soon.

Most of the outside of the car put back together. '09'ish paint but different colors. There still might be some slight changes in the paint still.

This year the cars rockin the Vertex Ridge Aero with a D-Max front bumper the car has always had but slightly modded to fit with the Vertex fenders.

I thought about a "Pinky and the Brain" reference, but I couldn't get one to work right.
