  • I'm sure people are aware of the consequences, just like when people speed and break the law in other forms.Sure Benson might not run the touge passes anymore, that doesn't mean others don't.

You can take the pro out of the touge, but you can't take the touge out of the pro.

Then if I become professional I shall be the first case to prove your theory wrong.

I have never been to touge, and I never will. I am not stupid enough to risk my life in that way.

I am just going to state some facts in my final post for now..

Fact Your post contained a direct insult to me.

Fact I am not hurt much by it...

Fact You stated i missunderstand you and make the wrong assumptions about you...

Fact You and benson both misunderstood my joke about drifting ugly.. Claiming it was a insult to the entire institution and anyone who supports them.

Fact it was no such insult

Fact It is my opinion, obtained by reading his post in this thread and others that '97 S14 SE Turb is an Elitest jerk.

Fact '97 S14 SE Turb called everyone who dissagreed with him a "wannebe"

Fact It is my opinion that Benson is way way overreacting out of a sence of protecting his friends.

          Fact i can understand that

Fact I believe him to be hypocritical about street drifting

Fact it is also my opinion that his stance on street drifting would be much better if he came from the stance of "dont make my mistakes" not "We are doing it the right way NOT YOU"

Fact '97 S14 SE Turb actualy said they where doing it the right way, Not bension

          Fact Bension went with it

Fact I have grouped the two together in several post because of that

Fact I dont like '97 S14 SE Turb at all.

Fact I may of liked bension if i met him in different circumstances, OR if he would of stated some of '97 S14 SE Turb post did not reflect his opinions Especialy when he insults people

          Fact I am a moderator

Fact That does not keep me from having opinions. The Admins of this site have given me freedom of speech to talk about how i feel on anything dealing with drifting. Wether it be the greatest pro or the humblest beginner.

Fact This site does not condone illegal street drifting, Nor will it allow images and pictures of illegal activites with in the united states (where its based) on its servers.

Fact The attitudes of a few choice posters on this thread has caused me to reevaluate going to a Drift Day event in the near future, Either to practice or just spectate and support the event. To me going to such an event where calling my self Drifting Ugly is considered a grave insult doesnt seem like a very fun thing to go to. Nor does going to an event where other people with different ideas are insulted and called wannabes.

Fact It is my opinion that shows the Elitest attitude that i personally dislike about drifting

Fact I strongly believe that an attitude like that really turns people off of these events.

I am going to close the thread now.. If you are still writing one or feel you need to get one final word in feel free to PM me and i will open it up for you.. yes even the guys who i have been argueing with for the last half hour.. just message me up. either on AIM yahoo or just the built in PM.

Good point.I guess what I was trying to say is that no matter how many track events they goto, there will still be a little touge in them,no matter what they say.

Also, there's something in touge that track events don't have,if there wasn't,why would even the greatest like Tsuchiya still run touge and lose his racing license over it? This is a guy who's ran in everything from Le Mans to JGTC and every little thing inbetween. If a pro is willing to make such sacrifices,it's obvious that there's a reason for it.

Thats good. and when you come here to tell us that we should go to the track Please be nice about it. it will work alot better. Take a cue from Crazyhawaiian he almost exclusively uses the track.. and sugest it when he can.. but hes nice about it.. ah *Censored**Censored**Censored**Censored* i broke my own rule about locking the thread.. well ill lock in a few minutes. That attitude was my biggest complain on the whole illegal activity arguement... Remember most my post was about me insulting drifting pretty.

If the hostility dies down the thread can remain open.. dissagreements are fine, but the personal insults we have been slinging are really aganst the rules and we all need to stop.

Who is the bigger man? The one who must have the last word, or the one who shuts up and knows he is right?

If you feel that there are insults, why CONTRIBUTE to it? I find your choice of words towards Benson and T.Y. ('97 SE turbo) insulting, as you labeled them as "elitist pricks" and "assholes"

You found my words insulting thats fine. I found many words on this thread insulting. Besides wasnt this started with my insulting words to drifting pretty? well technically to me. To drifting pretty implies they were the subject.

Actually I'll be considered a "pro" in a month when I compete in Formula D.

So your theories are already wrong!

                    • If you find honest critism insulting, you are in for it in the real world...

PS: Many of us that are standing our ground have competed in these events. My day job pays me too well for me to go "Pro" in drifting...

Yeah who you driving for? (not trying to be sarcastic just curious)

My theories are often wrong.. but that was really more of a gross generalzation then a theory.

                          • you might think my words are of an eliteist nature... or maybe has a demanding tone to it... the reason is because i think it's a very serious issue and also because it has to do with the future of our growing scene.

to me, if drifting is closely tied with street racing, we might lose everything that many of us have tried to develop over the course of the past 4-6 years. we are trying to be legitimate and professional for the sake of our scene's growth... to me it's important, and thats why touge driving should never be condoned.

from my point of view, it's a statement of - i went through it so you guys don't have to... there is nothing eliteist about that.

i agree though, that this thread is way off topic at this point.

                              Generalizations suck, don't use it.

I drive for myself. I paid for basically everything on my car and will fund my own entry into Formula D, unless my employer 5Zigen USA wishes to fund my entry.

Perhaps I can become like Kazama (employee of Kei Office by day, drifter by nite).

And please do not compare USA drivers to Japan drivers. They have their own car culture there and we have our own here.

                              • If you can't make the distinction between an insult or a comment.

Well, guess it's pointless to have a decent conversation going here...

No where do I claim I'm superior. You are making all the wrong assumptions. Digging a hole for your own discussion...
