            Forgotten....It's good to see that some understands the wonders of the 1jz... I had awhole bunch of comments to add to the "1jz" topic, but I realized must of it you already said....soooo o'well. Your car looks sweet, keep us updated on the swap...and Yes you will love going sidways in a 1jz. So smooth.

            Also that supra taillight conversion looks clean, I like the older moded look.

                    is that all the pics for the supra truck? and how much power can a hachi's 4ag dohc take? ppl complain bout weight problems, well there's that or the mr2 engine. i was thinkin of putting a 4ag in one. what do yall think of it?

                      hmm no to the 4ag, because it would require too much work just to squeeze enough power to make the supra move, but a 3sgte with bolt ons would do you better ... thats if your looking for a 4banger ... but other wise I would stick to the 1j

                        WTF is your problem bashing the 7m motor...last time i checked it lasted for over 15 years....the 5m....etc...

                        the 7m has low down torque...while the 1-2j's HAVE torque but you must stroke them out for the max....have you ever seen a 800+ hp 2jz WITHOUT a stroker kit??? NO...

                        yes the motor is old, yes it has antiquated technology...but thats the beuty of it...its just that simple ( same with the 4ag series and the Sr's...)
                        I like the sound of the 7ms too..very throaty and not too ricey, but the howl of a 1j or 2j just makes my spine tingle!

                        whatever you fancy you need to think twice before you bash another 7m...

                        remember if it WERENT for the 7m much less the 5m there would be no 1j or 2j series motor to boot!!!!!!! you got to learn somewhere

                        peace...and when you see my car built up real soon, well see who laughs at the 7m...

                          i have been looking for supras lately. i keep reading about problems with the head gaskets or something. so im guessing it is a costly problem?

                              I never had a problem with the head gasket in my 7m... but it is a big problem with that motor I hear. And to add with the 7m/1jz battle....this is why I keep my thoughts to myself, to not start little wars over the internet. But I feel like saying something this time. The 7m is a good motor, but it does have it's problems. Which motor doesn't. As for drifting though, I personally (IMO) would use the 1jz...I mean look at all the soarers, but Yes there are alot of 7m guys out trying to drift too. It just seems like a better motor for getting the *Censored**Censored**Censored*-end around the track, because of wieght. Again this is my opinion. Not everyone is going to think the same and that is how the world goes round. Instead of bashing everything they say on the INTERNET, let them say what they have to say, waste their money on whatever and see who is right(happy with their choice). The supra is a goat, a heavy ride trying to do it's best. And everyone just wants the same....To have the best car they can. Agian this is my opinion, It may not be right, but it is the internet...who really cares?
