i didnt know s13s needed THAT much power....
its not like 900rwhp or anything. were aiming at 500/500 for the drift car and thats it. thats what seems to be the power for most d1 cars, and it should be a pretty good track day car with that much power, and some big tires, but definately after i find a brake sponsor. we also are gonna take it drag racing and stuff too, and we have a 2nd motor to build up, that will be fullly built, and able to support a lot more power, not that we'd need it for drifting, but it will be fun for other stuff.

good luck though and congratulations on getting out of the el camino.
    thanks!

now as to where the car sits now.

its on jackstands, we cant get clutch pedal pressure. everywhere is closed. ive been living at the shopt he last 2-3 days. im home, taking a break, doing more searching. we were suppost to go to atlanta this weekend, but my guys that were gonna go and me decided that after last weekend, getting a weekend to rest, and not drive straight across the country, and straight back was a smarter idea than driving to atlanta, leaving as soon as the event was over and being back for class at 8am. we have to send the headers back to hinson so they can put them into production, so were going to just pull the mtoor out, bleed everythign out of the car, get rid of the quick connect fitting and convert the slave cylinder to accept an fittings, and just run one SS line, instead of the quick connect crap from GM. its a cool idea, but not when your putting ls1's where they dont belong. also while the mtoor is out put some aluminum under the framerails for heat sheilding, and clean up a couple small things we saw we could do to pretty up things. hopefully well be at no problem raceway next weekend, but well see.

probably a wise choice on your end, Mike. Once you get the car running 100%, there will be plenty of events to attend. Take your time, do it right.

                    Gaaahh Beautiful... Im frickin jealous.

And i was just thinking about that in my s14. Seeing this and hinsons 240 it does look ez.(But we all know how that goes) The T56 Chevy tranny sits almost perfectly where the factory 5 speed shifter does in the 240. Thats it damnit Im getting a spare s13 soon, gotta do that! Just have to wait for someone to make a Ls1 Install kit!

Oh and the LS1 mIni Cooper? Its been done. go to LS1Tech.com and look in the hybrid forums.

drove it in last night, the thing is insanely fast. i was shaking when i got out. that thing will not be seeing the street again anytime soon, too fast. skinned the hood/trunk today, and cut a hole so my hood will shut, and finished the firewall on the trunk and started covering where my trunks floorpan used to be and my fuel cell and aeromotive system now sits. were mostly ready to rock for atlanta, gonna go test this friday hopefully at no problem raceway in louisiana, and then next week is allllllllllllllllllllllllllllll going to paint, and making it pretty.

hopefully we can get some more tire under it 255 rear is nowhere near enough. got some little changes, but atlanta should be kickin

                            blue with flames

the black is too hard and annoying to take pictures of. plus none of the vynil sticks to it.
