      mustang

my friend said that the engine is swapped from a chevy.
because mustangs dun make 407s engines.
      probably modified too.

Your friend has no idea what he's talking about. Don't listen to him again. You'll be safer that way.

ghost of duluth.... good job, i applaud you. not many people realize that mustangs and supras arent that far from each other stock. turbo power is faster then na in opinion though cause my friend raced his supra against a camaro and the supra dynoed 300 and the camaro dynoed 301. the camaro had more torque but and beat the supra off the line but once that secondary turbine spooled it blew the camaro away. ive seen that happen with the gsx against other cars and not only american but every kind. there isnt one thats faster but my argument is power per liter.

          Oh, and.....SRT-4.
srt-4 has a japanese design, same with the ecotec motors are derived alot from japanese technology with motors. and the IHI turbo is japanese on the srt4s too and if im not mistaken so is the intercooler.

Now see, THAT I can agree with. The same power can be applied in different ways to achieve different results. Smooth power versus spurty power.

What "japanese technology" is this? Japanese parts, perhaps.

Gotta agree with Ghost of Duluth. I love my Mustangs, especially the 1969 MACH 1. Dont see to many of them over here But one thing I do see alot of are S13 Silvia's and R33 GTS25t Skylines. Jap performance cars are everywhere where I live. But Australia will hopefully have a part in the International Drift Competitions. We have heaps of drift days throughout the year but not enough major events. Im hoping to enter into the big competition when I get my new drift car. But Im going domestic because thats the type of car that I'am comfortable with. Try this out for facotry specs.

Ford Falcon FPV F6 TYPHOON 4.0-litre turbo-charged and intercooled six-cylinder F6 270 Turbo engine, double overhead camshafts and a four-valve aluminium cylinder head. pumping out 270kW of power at a staggering 550Nm of torque.

355mm front and 330mm rear cross-drilled and ventilated brake rotors with race-bred Brembo calipers and a five-speed manual gearbox.

It produces its maximum power of 270kW at 5250rpm while its maximum torque of 550Nm is on tap from 2000rpm and remains constant all the way through to 4250rpm. It produces more than 80 per cent of its maximum torque at 1500 rpm and over 98 per cent at 1750rpm.

But this is a domestic just like the Mustang. Wonder how this car will be like next to side with the S15's, MKIV's, R34's and JZX100's.

...Ok, lots of power is great but it's still just so damned ugly.

I'm going to cry. My low-tech pushrod gas guzzling V8 is inferior to the elite techniology of todays superior small displacement import motor. *weeping like a woman* hahaha j/j.

Here's what it comes down to man. Different strokes for different folks. Domestic V8's were designed with certain theories in mind. Small displacement Import motors were designed with different theories in mind. Each has its good points, each has its bad points. Just pick the one you like and go with it. Arguing over which is "better" on a forum is just a waste of everyones time. There are so many variables that it is impossible to ever agree on anything. If you want to prove your superiority then take it to your local track.

I'm with you CrazyHawaiian. Didn't think this site would come down to the "which car is better" schtick. Thought this was a driver's site, guess I was wrong. Now I know drifting is going downhill when threads like this keep going.
