  • in some cases, yes. Ie. with a corvette, which has a swoopy roof, it is better to have the roof to keep smooth airflow going to the rear wing. However, with a short roof like on a miata, if you chopped off the windshield, filled in the side, etc, you would cut down on frontal area, which could help reduce drag.

Also, open-top would reduce weight too...

            • as a matter of fact . i'd take cwest's s2000 change the back bumper to a stock bumper with top secret diffuser. boost up the power to 360 wheel hp na
a retartede rev limit around 10,8k and put some super stickey tires probabaly bridgestone re-01R's and change the track suspension to apexi n1's street .i think that would be a very very very good contender next to some nasty miata or 86 of fc or a lancer. big hp cars like evos and supra's and skylines are too heavy ,but honestly it depends on the road .it all depends on the road................

replace engine with the new Caterham V8 made from 2 yamaha superbike motors welded together (same basic design as the radical engine featured in sports compact car 1-2 months ago only it has a 11000 RPM red line and an extra 40bhp can't find the specs on the internet but it was featured in EVO 3-4 months ago)

                      • Tough question, personally I'd like an EVO VIII with a lot of weight reduction and get rid of as much lag as possible (hard pipes, gut the cat,...). but if money wasn't so tight...

sadly thats not the street exige. this is the exige that Lostus is going to enter into lemans itself. i doubt we will be seeing any street legal versions anytime soon... tho the fact that they can cram a GM v6 into the back of that moster is exicting engine swappers the world over i am sure... i wonder how long untill we see a Supercharged camry V6 ah-la Mr2 in a lotus
