First of all just because you have been driving for a year now doesn't mean youn can handle 500 HP!!!! And insead of wastin' everyones time asking bout' somethin' you can't handle you should just wait till you drivin skills improve!!! Oh! and for tha info you wanted just look in tha November issue of Super Street they'll have what you lookin' fo'

        A liar.

First, he'd probably blow the block with that much boost (or the boost creep without a serious wastegate would do it for him).

Second, just a turbo and some exaust bits (or any amount of fuel tuning) can't get you that much power no matter how much boost you're running.

And third, you couldn't do it without upgraded internals (like cams, low-comp pistons, etc) and an FMIC (not having a big intercooler for that kind of boost would basically make it all impossible, imo).

Not to say that it couldn't be done (because I don't know if it could or not), but not with those parts.

Either that or he left about 20 major upgraded parts out of that list.

Valkyrie, have you ever built a turbo car?

by the look of your profile "havent boght a car yet, but when i do it will be a 240sx, and i plan on becoming a mad drifter, drifting any way and any where i can " i dont ever want you to get that much power out of anycar you will "potentially" own. and one year of driving doesnt mean anything

              If I'm wrong, that's fine.

But I still find 800 HP with standard interals simply by using an upgraded turbine (he said turbo... not turbo kit) somewhat hard to beleive.

Explain how I'm wrong and I'll admit it. I don't like being ignorant so feel free to inform me.

Im no turbo expert but im not a turbo-idiot either, ill agree with valk' on this one.. 800 hp out of some bolts on doesnt quit add up to me (hell or else you would see it more often).. Maybe we should ask if this car is still running..

                  You want 500hp?

                  saw your car in half.
                  Get 500 harnesses.
                  A crew of vets.
500 well-bred horses. (mustangs, stags, etc etc..)

Lastly, hope none of these horses defactate on you.

Importing a gtr32 would be cheaper (not to mention clean up would be much easier)

You didn't answer my question. I'm not discussing the credibility of his claims, which I don't believe but that's a different subject.

                        240drifter

240drifter, you are a d@mn fool. This isn't NOPI Tunervision, most of the people here probably dont even have 300 hp. We built our vehicles for drifting not for drag racing and shows. What else would you use a 240sx for if your not going to drift, your probably going to rice it out... a nice car put to shame. Besides the fact you don't have the funds for this project and that you would wreck it anyways since you have absolutely no experience. Wait never mind I forgot your a veteran with outstanding skills, skills so precise that your already deemed to be the next Michael Schumacher, OR NOT. Driving with your parents (with your permit) doesn't give you anywhere near the amount of skill it would take for you to street race your 500-600 hp 240. Also you probably don't have the know how to do this project anyway, your wasting our time. You should have went to that sweet button called the search button and looked something up, or made a post asking how much horsepower can you get out of a 240sx, or maybe a google search, or maybe even common sense. By the way what engine do you plan on using for this anyway?

SidewaysGts, he probably doesn't know what that is, if he does he doesn't want one cuz the car he is going to buy... "it will be a 240sx"

p.s. Sorry if I have offended anybody in the process of this post(besides 240drifter).

Here's the plan, scrap the 240 idea, buy a CRX, shove a bottle of NAWS up it's arse then drift that. I saw on TV some guy claims to hit 300+ hp with under 3 grand. Then you can do mountain runs and "get sideways", which is a racing technique to help increase your speed. Then take the phat CRX to a NOPI convention and impress the ladies with phat front wheel burnouts.
