The way it works is a computer inputs from multiple sensors like yaw rates, steering angle, lateral acceleration and distribution of torque so it can compensate for any type of handling behaviors (dunno why they did this, i thinks its ghey and its not considered to be real driving if you basing a car's handling from electrionics) IMO, its virtually not a rear wheel drive pure bred making it impossible to be 100 percent rear wheel drive. with the exception of the subaru which they were saying earlier that its engine is mounted vertically. and on top of it, i dont think D1 regulations would allow electronically controlled vehicles at all (im not so sure on this, dont quote me on it)
