    Formula Drift in NJ

Tandem action was awesome. Sucks about Forsberg. Casper brought it big time. I was pulling for him to take it all. I'm posting pics of the event and a movie of the final between Rhys and Alex. Some of the night shots and the final movies are terrible quality.(sorry) I need a better camera... Check my site

Oh, lol well its a JDM car so I guess well just call it the left side tail-light. Both Sam and Hiro hit theyre tailights. Hiro got more damage to the car but he was amazing. I got pics also but im gonna have to resize them cause theyre gi-nourmous.

PS- GOT MY PACIFIC RIM SHIRT BY DAJIRO, HIGHLIGHT OF THE DAY! SO HAPPY.

PSS- J-Rod the announcer had his moments and was overall good. OH YO Drift240, what format are you using for your pictures, I cant seem to see them.

Nitto was giving out inflatable "slapper sticks".(what everyone was calling them?!?) He mounted a bunch across his trunk.

The course lay out was pretty damn cool but I hope in the future Formula D puts as much focus on makeshift course setup as D1 does. Look at Tokyo Odaiba
They make a parking lot look like an international racing circuit.

Hey guys. Yeah it really sucked with what happened to the car. Everything was working out so well. It was the first time i drove it and nothing was wrong with the setup. I started to feel very comfortable with the car within only a few runs and started really laying into it. I even ran tandem with Rhys in a practice run, and all i can say is that the s15 is way faster in drift than the z was. I was looking forward to making it to top 16 and running tandem. But i snapped an axle in the middle of the first qualifying lap. and there was no time to fix it so i tried to run the second lap with only 1 axle and the car wouldnt even break sideways because of the amount of grip it has, and then that axle snapped after like 2 turns. all i can say is, i am pumped up x10 for atlanta because of this.

The event was amazing! At first the course did not look too appealing, abrupt grade change, steep bank, bumpy pavement surface, abrupt pavement change... Nevertheless, somehow all the drivers found a way around it and put on another great show in the Formula D series! The track turned out to be quite an interesting track for tandem battles!!! I had a blast tandeming with Ryan Hampton in the round of 16 and Alex P in best 8! I have in car videos to come soon!

Thanks everyone that made the event possible espeically Jeremy from Discount Tire and everyone from Team Falken.

                      Can't wait till Atlanta!!!

This was the first FD experience, and the closest thing to a religious pilgramage I've ever undertaken, lol.

Got my shirt signed by all these guys I've seen on videos and read about in magazines. I was reall amazed at how approachable and human everyone was! The El Caminowning of my shirt was the best though.

And there was this awesome girl at the Pac Rim booth who said I looked like kyosuke from Rival Schools. Yeah, that was great.

The only bad things were running out of pictures by the end of the practice runs, getting my face blistered by the sun, and spending over 100 dollars in the space of an hour... And getting dropped off by my grandma because all my friends suck and my car's laid up with a blown radiator.

Okay, sorry for the off-topicness, but i had to get it out.

YO all i have to say is, THAT WAS AMAZING! i loved every second of it. Props to all the drivers, all the teams, all the fans for coming out, it was incredible. One kid told me that they were waiting like all last week for this weekend to come, kids were coming from all over the eastern seaboard and they were not dissappointed. Rhys was amazing, Sam's upset was AMAZING, completely out of left field, ROBBIE Nishida was SPECTACULAR, CASPER put on a clinic...and to tell you the truth i always knew he would, Forsberg was amazing and when his axle snapped i pissed myself, CALVIN WAN WAS AN ANIMAL........>! that crash turned on a monster in him, and that monster was hungry, ALEX Pheiffer is one of the best drivers that i know, he got in that car and made it look easy, got out the car and sparked a cigarette like he didnt just amaze the world, you rock alex, ANDY YEN S15 RIGHT HAND DRIVE, AWESOME, dont care what anybody says you rocked that car like a pro, RYAN HAMPTON AND HUBERT YOUNG......THE BEST TANDEM BATTLE OF THE WEEKEND, two cars that are pretty much fraternal twins, twin drifting, twin initiating, twin smoke, twin enthusiasm, oh my god what a feeling watching that...TAKA AONO, ALMOST BEAT RHYS MILLEN!!!!! It was hard fought in the AE86 but he pushed and eventually spun but bro he fought like a champ........alright if i didnt mention a driver its not because they sucked, its because my head exploded when i at this event and I am still putting it back together, Thank you Formula D, thank you New Jeresy, thank you G4 Tech TV (i cant wait to watch the show) and I will see everyone of you in Atlanta!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We are so glad everyone seemed to enjoy the event. It was cold as hell but the action was unreal. We were really nervous about the track layout because we knew the banking was very tough and abrupt when it met the flat bottom. However, more than 4 people told me that it was the best top 16 action they had ever seen. Being down on the track and stopping the drivers before the winner of the battle was announced and seeing one of the drivers (wont name names) tear when his name was announced was probably the coolest thing I have ever experienced.

Thank you so much to everyone that braved the elements and made the treck. There were rumors circulating that the track may be demolished to bring in condos or something and the track owner and manager told us that this event just might have given the boost to the community to save the track and continue to let it operate. If this is true, drifting may have saved Wall Speedway!!!

Congratualtions to Rhys, Alex and Casper!!! Rhys was on point all weekend scoring the only perfect 10 ever recorded by a driver in qualtifying. Alex put on a clinic and made it clear he is one of the most talented drivers. Period! Casper, you amaze me bro. Your passion is unreal and I am soo stoked you podiumed. You rock bro! Ken Gushi, showed hints of pure genius is his tandem battle with Capser. Gushi went wide in turn one after the bank and Casper locked in and passed under neath him, Ken put that Mustang to a place I had never seen it go before and just whipped it under Casper right after the apex as Casper went wide after the pass. Gush passed him back!! Unreal and one of th most amazing things I have seen. Congrats to everyone that competed. You guys are truly inspiring!!!
