guess i'm stuck in my "FB" for now though. (wait for it...
JDM valkeries have different booster backs than Maceckian Vertiechs. Notice that some Valkeries have two gun turrets an their left side instead of missle packs.

JDM valkeries also recieved the our "super veritech" upgrades far sooner.

let's not forget that the macross didn't have the prometheus and the dedaleus connected to it. We got them on our SDF-1s because of our strict safety codes.. those lucky japanese!

        ^^ thats cool.

anyways, they can call it whatever the hell they want, they do it in japan too, puting Lexus badges and stuff all over their toyotas. Don't fret children, its just a little fun. If youre gonna be so picky about it, go make your own car and name it the same thing all over the world so no one ever mixes up USDM and JDM names again.

S13/S14 = chasis code and it's not JDM only so I just say it
to let others know what my caris.

I just say 92 S13. Nuff said. If I wanna get specific, Coupe.

Japanese want to be like Americans, nothing new. This goes way beyond the tailights,I'm talking about the "american craze",right down to there obession with blond hair and blue eyes, and the girls love for "Brad Pitt" look a likes.
As I say,it doesn't matter what you do to your 240.You can put in a SR20DET,change it to a RHD,etc. But at the end of the day,its still a 240,not a Silvia or 180sx.Unless it came from Japan, its USDM,nothing more, nothing less.

At the end of the day there the same car with different trim levels.. thats really all it came down to. I see no problem with converting one trim of the S13 to another and calling it what you want. it doesnt even matter where the chassis was sold.

Seriously the people in the sport/game aren't stupid, so who

I can accept Sil40 for example since its a hybrid, but not the
official JDM name. I don't get it.

My name is Gautam, and I drive a 240SX.
just one correction, in case you didnt know, hachi roku is japanese for 8 6. hachi-8 roku-6. the chassis code for a 85-87 corolla GT-S is AE86. In japan, the chassis code for a Trueno is AE86. hachi roku is refering to the chassis code. So it is perfectly fine for people to call theyre 86's hachi rokus. in that list you shouldve replaced hachi roku with Trueno becuase they are no trueno's in the states.

also, s-13/s-14 is also a chassis code, and if you want to destinguish zenki and kouki, i just use s14-1 or s14-2. works for me.

I usually use diffrent names for the 240sx cause its easier to distinguish what youre talking about..Cause you've got 4 diffrent models of the 240..The S13 coupe, The s13 fastback and both S14 generations..When im talking about S14s, I use kouki and zenki..When Im talking about S13s, I will call the 240sx fastback a 180 just because its easier to understand what im talking about..Like if i say " Jesse has a 240 " The person Im talking to will ask what generation, What kind ect..But if i say " Jesse has a 180" they immediately know what im talkin about..I dont really think thats Rice or *Censored**Censored**Censored*...I think people parading their cars around with Silvia badges and so on is a little dumb though..But it doesnt really bother me.

but we all gotta admit, as long as it doesn't get as bad as putting a type-r badge on a nissan...its ok...hahaha

i agree with the above post, callin USDM cars by they're Japanese names is usually just for speeding up a conversation or clearing things up. I went to go buy a ca18det and the guy asked what car i was putting it into, and i said 240sx, and he started what year model...blahblahblah...so i jus said its a 180...and he immediatly knew what i was talkin about. I use the terms more for a speedy conversaiton, don't wanna waste time goin by years and crap...its worthless

Actually, there was no super veritech upgrade for the JDM Valkyries...see, that's a super Valkyrie. The Valkyries also ran on thermonuclear power instead of the dolled up, "protoculture" that the Veritechs have. There is no such thing as protoculture either, the Macross ran on Over-Technology. And then there's the whole name game with the Destroids...if you still follow what I'm talking about, much props to you.
