The thing i realize is people are only worried about protecting and preserving pretty environments, Which is why we get to irrigate deserts into some of the richest farm land in the country (kern county) which is why it wouldnt be a problem to put a suitable watersupply around a desert based nuclear plant, Besides it doesnt burn water off, i just heats it, then it recollectsit and uses it again. The extra water is used to cool the reactor to prevent meltdown, but thats just a mater of water supply, and we have plenty of artificial MASSIVE lakes in this country, indeed the majove desert has moutains around it, indeed in kern county again we have several artifical lakes, one being in the moutains near majove.

The problem you have with nuclear plants is good hearted but uneducated people fearing them. Remember when they launched the cassini probe? and there where protesters because they were convenced that if something happened the plutonium in it would exploid and it would destroy the world. Which couldnt happen no mater what.. So you cant even consider nuclear power with out someone throwing a fit. Yet when done right it can be clean and safe...

The real problem with these organization isnt that they are trying to curb polution, its that politicians are setting them up just to pander to environmentalist. Thats why we have that special crap in our gasoline.. No one stopped to actually see if the stuff works. What we need desiding our environmental laws are scientist studying the stuff for a living. Not politicians and scared morons.

But like i say, most so called environmentalist just want things to be pretty in there area with no actual concern for the environment. What we need are laws and organizations that make sense. You want to see the biggest problem with carb rules in california? The cars that pollute the most, gas guzzlers form the early 70s and beyond dont have to follow the laws. They dont even have to run a cat! i think i would run one no mater what! with how well they work, its not worth the extra horse power you will get by removing a properly functioning catalitic converter. My car with a sr20 will probably pollute something like 100th the amount of a muscle car from the late 60s, if not less, Yet that will be illegal, but not the muscle car.

Brand new SUVs can roll off the lot as "trucks" and pollute alot more and get worse millage then anything i can do to my car, yet those modifications to my car would be illegal.

You see the problems? we can protect the environment and still enjoy automobiles if we do it intelegently. Random laws and acts wont help.

Yes.. they breathed in our early Carbon Dioxide farting out oxygen to put it bluntly changing our atmosphere to this oxygen based one... thus creating a new form of oxygen burning bacteria, some how oxygen burning gives you more energy, thus eventually leading to animal and more complex life.. i supose the earlier carbon dioxide based life forms becoming plant life and such...

For all we know, God could'a put Adam's rib in a female monkey. My only question is... If Adam and Eve had 2 sons (Kain and Able) Where ther hell did everyone else come from?? Sounds like insest to me... must'a been from Alabama <--- Just kidding (note the face)

BTW... That car looks nice... but due to the ever changing US Skyline designs/pictures, I really don't care how cars look, as long as it can perform well.

I think this is a good idea. In japan, Mazda is buying up all the old MX5's and putting new engines, new paint, and new interior and stuff, like it's a brand new car. Wouldn't it be great if they did that with the S13, and sold it in America.Just a dream of mine. I'll scan some pictures and articles, just as soon as I figure out how to get the pics on here.

                  The Sentra SE-R Spec V has a QR25. Its pushing out 175 horsepower, 180 ft-lbs of torque.

I dont know if the engine in the S16 will have more power or what, but thats alot less than the SR20 series. And the Sentra is FWD.

i watch a documentory about the farming and aperently the salt and pestisides that come form the water system after its been used could kill pritty much all life and will leave the soil in a toxic state for well ever and the water is feed bck into swamps and of corse kill it pritty fast

well when the fuel runs out wel will all have to use bio-ethinal or LPG (liqued protoliem gas) and aparently thier not much if any differance in performance

i read somewhere that those 70s cars emitted more pollution while the engine was turned off and cooling down than cars do now, running for 30 minutes!!

I'm having so much trouble understanding this thread. But nissan guy, I thought oxygen came from Photosynthesis? I don't know I never really got science, I was always more of a History person myself.
