Nope, believe it or not, thats steel too. Here's a couple pictures before paint and one in primer.

          Keep the 8

Keep the V-8 in it, I love the Z car to v-8 conversions. although the L block is a strong motor too. I love the fender flares and the whale tail. Very nice project car. I'm a sucker for an old Z.

Nah, already gave it to my brother. It's a Ford, I would rather have a Chevy if I kept an 8 in it. I like the 6. I'm a sucker for the old 6's.

My god, Ghost that car is absolutly beautiful. I mean stunning. I have never seen such a great looking Z.

Did you roll the metal yourself because if you did...MAN! you did a great job. (Or whoever did those)

I think you should put in a carbed inline six and just build the hell out of it. It would sound great with that car and if you can run no emissions that thing would scream!

i have one question... is whiote going to be the final color. I think it is good but a black or silver would looks cool too. When the light shines off the contours it would be spectacular.

Wow...that is a NICE car. If you want to go six Id go with a Turbo 3.8 out of a 86-87 Grand Nat'l. Of course that is just my opinion and well...I really do not know jack about drifting so yea... but A friend of mine has a GN and wow, when they get into boost they move and thats is in a heavy G body. Plus with some turbo work they will run 11's no problem in stock trim, minus some sticky nitto's out back.

                  Take care,
                  Erik

Yea, it's getting the 6 back in, carbed and it has the deisel head and it's been stroked. I don't know much about the engine that came out of it but I knew it would haul. As for the Grand National 6 cyl, man, that would be a nice swap. Too much money for me though. And you are right, getting 11 secs out of a Grand National is VERY feasible.

As for color, haven't decided on that one yet. Much as I know it will get some flammage, I want to paint it Kawasaki green and then slap my black Enkie 92's on it. Probably leave it white though.

The car came from one of the Apel brothers in Atlanta Ga. It was built by a guy in Atlanta in his garage on a whim if memory serves me correctly. He now delivers parts for a Honda dealer. Figure that. It then went to Bryan Feldman, www.bryanf.com. Bryan is an engineer and built one of the sweetest 510's on the planet, here's a couple photos. Then it went to James Apel and then to my godsons father who added the 302, no one could ever get the car finished so it languished in repair shop hell for over 2 years, then to me. I swapped one primer black CRX SI for it. Here's what I swapped for it.

He just got tired of funneling money into it and wanted something that ran. So, that's the story. Check out Feldmans site. He used to work for Turbo Tom in Atlanta.

By the way, those are 10 inch wide Fikses wheels under the factory wheel wells in that Dime. Jaguar rear end hooked it up. Also look at the smooth inboard brakes that came on that rear end. Makes a man woozy all in the knees and stuff. Mad project.

Thanks for all the comments too.

Bryan's car is amazing and he's a nice guy as well, very helpful.

SixGun = Straight Six/Rotary and Gunmetal
I don't think "SIXGUN" would have the same effect on a green car, but do what you like man.

You using an L28 for the Z or the origonal 26?

For the FD, whevener you get back to building it, an SR or CA18 would fit in without much trouble (no trouble for the tiny CA). I would imagine that your balance could be a bit upset with an LS or Iron block straight 6... The CA can make 300+ hp and is the size of a small dog

Also, Im interested in your springs and turbos. What Tein springs do have? Also, if you wanna keep them thats cool. But surely you wont need the twins, so if your willing to part w/ any of the 2, reply here or get on aim, I added you to my buddylist. Thanks
