A good driver can work around a bad setup, thats what makes them a Good driver. Doesn't matter the car doesn't matter the setup a good driver will find a way to perform respectivly maybe not win but at least do better than someone who cant drive with a dream setup.
yes a good driver can work around a bad setup but not well. He wont place first or 2nd or 3rd if the car is setup like *Censored**Censored**Censored*. Tsuchiya was driving the arta nsx in the first round of jgtc like 2 years ago and the car was not set up at all. Ever time the tall cam out it would loop and tsuchiya couldn't do anything about it. Car set up in a race makes or breaks it.

In drifting i would estimate it to be 60% driver, 40% car. It has changed alot since the beginning of this year. It was 75/25% say last year but now that we have more tandom battles, the car makes a bigger difference then before.

Yeah it is kinda hard to watch it from the video, in the runs, while i was behind the GTO, the first time, he missed a gear pretty badly going into the bank and I almost ran into the back of him. On the second go around, also when i was behind, as we went into the last corner, im not sure if it was another miss shift or what but his motor cut out and he lost the drift or understeered up towards the wall. All i saw was a big burst of flame out of the thing and the car going wide. He did catch it and continued but it looks bad to the judges when you loose your drift angle.
