Maybe it's just me, but I don't think the texan that concerned about the gas milage in his race car.

if anythign the weight distribution is improved. the ls1 is slightly lighter than the ka, and if you take into account the regular ls1 doesnt have the added wieght of turbo etc (however mine does, but you could easily make a fast car without it, but for FD i feel the magnusen blower will give me a crazy stupid awesome powerband) and makes ungodly power / weight, its a aweosome swap.
but yeah, only in america, until the japanese see this and are like omg thats kewl. i wonder how hard it is to import a jdm ls1...

mike...how much power does it make, and what is your tire size setup, im sure you will be dealing with alot of traction issues.
tire sizes for now (we are using an 8'' rim temporarily) we run 235/40r17 front, 255/40r17 R in Cooper Zeon 2xs for now. We'd like to go wider, much wider, but gotta wait on the new wheels, but they will be worth the wait.

there is no way that it can have that much angle and work.....the tie rod, rack binds before it will support that much angle...
.....it will send him into a wall if he drives it like that.....
hmmm maybe im wrong.......just my opinion..

actually right now its a stock ECU with a magnusen reflash. seems to be running well with no CEL's or anything, if we could figure out our clutch bleeding issue the car would have been on the road about 20 times by now.

actually with the torque of the motor, and the gearing, we are expecting well north of 30mpg highway. on throttle though will be a different story. but cruisign milage shoudl be pretty good, considering its pushing roughly 1000lb less than the camaro it came out of, and with gears you can get 30mpg highway with a 4th gen fbody. lots of torque+long gears = good gas milage.
