still waiting for a reply from flashoptions - whether on this site or by email.

I just don't think everyone knows really how long i've had to hassle with just getting the motor in my posession. Its been four months now and everyone around me tells me everyday that i just got my money taken from me. I just want to prove them wrong. Its stuff like this that gives not only international exporting a bad name, but the whole jdm import scene as a whole.

I still have my fingers crossed that i will hear something very shortly. Its up to you FLASHOPTIONS.

As the thread starter, I must say that I am relieved I didnt purchase my motor from Clashoptions.com

Id probably be in the same boat as dbrass, or worse, be in the same boat his engine has sat in for 4 months.

See FLASHOPTIONS - you have already created a bad name for yourself and it was just by word of mouth

do you have any idea how much traffic this site gets?

I will continue to keep everyone posted on how everythiing works out, but if you continue to ignore a customer who has given you $2000, then you just threw away your entire reputation . All I need is the Bill of Lading.

                Flashoptions,

I don't know why you're jumpy. all I said was I'm willing to help dbrass240 to solve his problem.

Now, since you're here already, I expect you to please fulfill your promise to dbrass240. And please try to be more professional about it.

btw, I haven't been to Japan but i do live in US for 7+years and have done some importing myself while i was there.

And why are you cursing me? U think i'm a kid? well, we will see in a week or two.

on flashoptions... heard too many bad stories on this company.
one bad egg dragged down the reputation of those good malaysia companies that's in import/export used engines business.
Not all Malaysian companies conducting their business like flashoptions. There are few good one out there.

I do not understand y there are still SO many buyers taking the risk with FO since there are so many bad comments out there.

heard the owner of FO is denied entry to U.S.

one best way to solve your problem is to report to
                          http://usembassymalaysia.org.my/
they might be able to help!

                          shipping procedure:
Ask for BILL of Lading the day the vessel leaves the port of origin.
It will BE issued on the day itself.
Ask for the container number or bill of lading number.
Ask for the shipping line or Vessel name that carry your goods.
Most of the shipping line has online tracking function. You can track your goods with the container number or BL #. info on Date of arrival. port of arrival and etc.

Upon vessel arrives at the port:
You will have 5 to 7 days free of charge to get your goods out from the PORT before the storage fee kicks in ( the 1st 5 days/7days are free, after that u will be charged storage fee back to day 1 it arrives at port.)
after 15days, they will transfer your goods to special assigned warehouse that slap u 1 time penalty charge plus the storage fee( USD 1K for a 20footer container. Not sure how much on the pallet)

after 3months, if your goods still there. the U.S custom will either
salvage the engine or auction if off unless you pay a bond on your goods. Salvage fee will be invoiced to the consignee or to the seller or the storage fee keeps running.

                          Custom broker:
You do need a custom broker to help you for custom handling/clearance of your goods if you are not familiar in dealing with U.S custom. Lots of paper works need to be submitted. Report your front clip as a salvage engine will make your life easier. and of coz, it wont pass the U.S EPA and DOT requirement. Now, here is where your custom broker come into the picture. They are more experience than you to handle this importing issue. Pay them to save the hassels.

                          Transportation:
if you live near east/west coast, shipping is cheaper. if you live inland. Good luck to you! Transportation charges is just GREAT.

they were investigated for fraud, from what i hear. But ironically, they just sent out my motor on the 13 of this month and it will be here april 13th. They even gave me the bill of lading number and everything is straight now. I guess there are people overlooking them now in malaysia b/c i found a lot of people who haven't properly recieved their merchandise from FO, but all of hte sudden they are. Weird? I'll keep you informed. S15 conversion is almost complete on the s14 and c-west sides and rear are on. Still waiting on motor. >>> hopefully it will be worth the wait!
