Problem with that is the program isn't a competition team. Everyone on the team has their own programs.

The drivers list is also so big that it probaly wouldn't fit on this forum. Last second I was pulled off the list for vir gt-live despite being told I was number one driver and I was replaced by hiromi (she more than deserves the ride but has never driven the cars) and marty must still be part of the team bcause he is paying his own way to vir to drive. Even after all the bad mouthing about the team he has done.

All I can say are things are getting better and the cars are actually driveable now after much setup by myself and Drew Staveley.

A lot of what has been said in this thread is speculation and all I can say is who knows what will happen next season.

Seeing the Miata's parked in the pits or doing something on the track (I won't mention seeing them drift because I have yet to see that happen) makes me think of clowns, elephants, and a ringmaster because that program is such a circus.

Saying "international all stars" or "drift miatas" to people who have been involved with the program at one point or another usually just makes them start to shake their head before you can actually say anything else.
i bought an fc because of JTP at NOPI Nats in 07.

also i think there should be more rx8s in drifting because i think they look cool.

I would vote for B.Rogers for president. I would also second the notion that JTP could do a lot more with a lot less for Mazda's rep.

The main problem is people that look at drifting as a get rich quick kinda scheme. Those are always the late-comers/dirty rats. These "rats" typically don't know chit about drifting. They do however think they know "everything" and don't like criticism... even if it is constructively done. Look at what the true lovers of our sport present - ASB, a one man privateer team that is competitive at every event, a tremendous wealth of knoledge about the correct way to build a D-car, etc..... These are the people that should get the help. Instead there are people like slick Billy that make a lot of promises that never pan out.
Tom Brady once quoted Ben Franklin and I love this quote - " Well done is better than well said!" It seems like the doers are getting hosed buy the sayers....that has gotta change.
Most of the people who are posting in this thread I have know for years and am proud to call them friends. What we need to do is continue to play D police and keep our sport free and clear of chodes. As long as there are people skimming money off of sponsors for personal gain and not improving their " team" we will never be considered in the same breath as other types of motor sports.

By continuing to point out the bad apples in an honest fashion, not in a childish way with name calling a whatnot but by listing facts and real life accounts from people that have been in close dealings with these dregs.

                          yeah right.

on one hand I have the BEST drifting events in North America.
on the other hand, a group of playskool Miatas.

                          Come on, get real.
