whatever the stock hp is of a S5 N/A RX-7. i can never remember, all I know is that a S4 N/A RX-7 runs 146hp (not at the wheels). when finished, it should run around 200rwhp and weigh about 2500lbs.

Now that is making sense. i'm currently getting money for a 20B in an FD. My goal is to scare the f@#$ out of anyone that rides in that car car so i'm figuring 700whp should be enough

DAMN! good luck with that thing on the street, especially in stop and go traffic.

1900cc motor with balanced and lightened crank and flywheel. Roller lifters, heavier valvesprings. Ported heads. ETC... Mitsubishi TE04H turbo running about 10.5 PSI. High octane, plus a big *Censored**Censored**Censored* bottle of octane boost in every tank. Im guessing about 150HP. I dont need high horsepower to push the car around. Ive had it weighed, and it comes up at around 1450lbs(and i forgot to take out the spare). Most of my money goes into gas and tires... And rear fenders, it seems like i go through alot of those.

my 300ZXTT is pushing around 375 whp at about 7 psi which I daily drive on...that is lo boost setting...hi boost setting is 16 psi which is about 575 whp. I do the drifting on 7 psi, that's plenty and it's my steady...

That's a good-lookin Z! I bet it will look cool when you paint it.

Hehe, that's just the comparison I was looking for earlier, hehe. A quick car is quick. Fast off the line, fast through 2nd gear. A 510 is a quick car. A Honda is not a quick car. It's a fast car.

I think it's the RWD vs FWD thing though, really.. I can launch really nicely off the line while FWD's can't put so much power to the wheels... just gets a lot of wheel spin.

I haven't backed down to a light-to-light yet, but I've lost a couple times... one day I lost to a Celica GT (late 70's.)... I was jazzed that he only beat me by slightly more than a fender length tho.. him and his 22R, weber downdraft...

                            I also have a low-ratio transmission and run undersized tires (185/60 R14) with a 3.90:1 final.

                            -shrugs-
                            It's all relative.
                            I like my quick car.
Speaking as someone whose drift ride is a 1970 MGB GT, I know exactly how you feel. My buddy Derek, a guy we refer to as a walking Nismo zombie, owns 2 240SX's (one with an SR20DET swap, the other with a breathed on KA24DE) and has even admitted that my Layla (I named her after the Eric Clapton song, it was playing on the radio the time I electrocuted myself working on her) is one of the wildest rides he's ever been in.

She's a little rusty, and is probably putting down about 150 at the crank (ANSA header and exhaust, Kent cam, thinner bronze head gasket to boost compression, solid lifters, Weber 32/36 DGV downdraft carb, milled head, and bored .030 over) but my Layla can kick it slideways with the best of them.

Though, I don't do that much after I saw a mate smack his dad's MG Midget into a curb mid-drift. Broken knock-off wire wheels are not pretty, and I don't want the same happening to me.
